Bees From Heaven!

A tiny hole on the outside of this soon to be refurbished
rental property, invites more than renters!

Pollen packed baskets rush inside to
make bee bread for the little ones!

After accessing this two story rental, deWayne decides
the best way to remove the bees is from the inside.

A generator is a big help on this job!

deWayne begins to prepare the bee vac.

Now he installs the basket inside the bucket.

With the hose attached, we're ready to go to work!

Very carefully, deWayne pops the floor board loose.

You can see honeybees peeking through the crack.

I shoot the red-beam heat detector at the wall,
just to make sure we have all our bases covered.

deWayne checks for studs, prior to making a cut.

With his light on his hat,
deWayne begans to make the first cut.

deWayne has removed the "brittle" board
that was nailed on the wall.

The hole can clearly be seen above the green triangle.

deWayne is a perfectionist, he cautiously marks
where he needs to make his cuts.

And again....

deWayne begins cutting,
I can't wait to see what's inside!

Wow!

Woe, look at all those hive beetles!!

 deWayne starts the vacumn!

Ahhhh, we better put some plastic down!

So cool!

I love this job!

Ooops!  We've got to cut again,
it's bigger than we thought!

Here we go!

Ahhhh, honey!!!!

Oh my! It's stuck on the board....

Amazingly beautiful...

So pretty!

Honey happens!  (Board broke)

Yes, I do get out from behind the camera and actually work!

Very spotted brood pattern.

Beautiful honey!  Lovely taste too!

See the pollen in the bottom left?

I think this pic is so cool!

Drone cells!!

These little girls were on the window soaking up the sunshine!

Dead bees in window seal and on the floor.

Check out that bee bread!
See the honey about to drip, and the yellow pollen?

deWayne catches the queen!
He knows how much I love his hands!

Queen has been placed inside cage.

See the queen on the far left?

I begin to remove the honeycomb!

The honey was heavy, and had a delightful floral taste!

Almost done....

Wow, look at all that honeycomb!

Whew! What a job!

Brood buckets.

deWayne removes bee basket from bucket.

Thank God for duct-tape!
This was a huge colony of bees, deWayne estimated about 40,000.
It's time for a new bee vac!

Now, to seal up that hole!

Awesome!

Getting ready to role out!

Yes, He Is!!

Many thanks to our dear friends, Bill and Lisa Owens,
of Georgia Bee Removals for their referrals.
